SPN 520214 — factory code KAMAZ, MAZ, SITRAK and others

Safe to driveDrivable, but watch it yourself

SPN 520214 is a manufacturer number outside the standard J1939 table: different makes can put different things under it. Below — how it is worded by KAMAZ, MAZ, SITRAK, Volvo and YaMZ, and what the second half of the code (FMI) means.

KAMAZ

FMI 4CAN: EngGsFlowRt timeout

MAZ

FMI 4CAN message EngGsFlowRt error - CAN bus message timeout. Blink code: 4-1-5. Repair: Check the CAN line connection to the other CAN devices.

SITRAK

FMI 3Timeout of the short-to-ground self-test of injector control module 1. Scan tool code: P062D. Effect: The injector driven by this injection module stops injecting.
FMI 11Injector control module 1 in a short-circuit state. Scan tool code: P1581. Effect: Power limited, the engine runs unevenly.
FMI 14Timeout of the short-to-ground self-test of injector control module 1. Scan tool code: P062D. Effect: The injector driven by this injection module stops injecting.
FMI 22Short circuit on the high side of the injector control module 1 powerstage. Scan tool code: P062D. Effect: The injector driven by this injection module stops injecting.

Volvo

FMI 3LCM output voltage is equal to or higher than the LCM supply voltage. Wire between the LCM and the lamps shorted to the supply wire. Check all lamps first.
FMI 4LCM output voltage is below 2 V. Wires between the LCM and the lamps shorted to ground.
FMI 5LCM output current to the lamps is below 0.1 A. Open wiring between the LCM and the lamps, or lamp failure.
FMI 6LCM output current to the lamps is above 1.4 A. Wiring between the LCM and the lamps shorted. Possibly several additional lamps are connected, or higher-wattage lamps are installed.

YaMZ

FMI 4EngGsFlowRt CAN message fault (CAN bus message timeout). Blink code: 4-1-5. Repair: Check the CAN line connection to the other CAN devices.

Can I keep driving

Safe to drive. Below — how much time you have and what happens if you keep going.

What happens if you keep driving

Time you have: Drivable, but watch it yourself

This is an electrical fault: an open, a short or a bad contact in the sensor circuit. The value it measures is most likely fine.

You can drive. But until the circuit is repaired this system runs blind and cannot warn you about a real failure.
