A yellow light means the electronics found a fault and logged a code. On its own it does not say how serious it is — it could be a clogged filter or dropped oil pressure. You need to look at the code.
The answer depends on the code, not the light. A yellow light is a warning; a red one means do not move. But even under a yellow light there are faults that require stopping right away — low oil pressure, overheating, lost brake pressure.
