J1939 code SPN 1136. Below — how the fault is worded at the factory by Dongfeng and SITRAK, and what the second half of the code (FMI) means in the standard.
| FMI 2 | Incorrect ECM internal temperature sensor signal |
| FMI 3 | Short circuit to power or open circuit of the ECM internal temperature sensor. Scan tool code: P0669. Effect: Torque limited, the engine may shut down. |
| FMI 4 | Short circuit to ground of the ECM internal temperature sensor. Scan tool code: P0668. Effect: Torque limited, the engine may shut down. |
| FMI 3 | ECU internal temperature sensor voltage above the upper limit. Scan tool code: P0669. Effect: Torque limited, the engine may shut down. |
| FMI 4 | ECU internal temperature sensor voltage below the lower limit. Scan tool code: P0668. Effect: Torque limited, the engine may shut down. |
| FMI 16 | ECU temperature above the upper limit. Scan tool code: P0666. Effect: Fan and warm-up control may misbehave. |
| FMI 18 | ECU temperature below the lower limit. Scan tool code: P0666. Effect: Fan and warm-up control may misbehave. |
Safe to drive. Below — how much time you have and what happens if you keep going.
This is an electrical fault: an open, a short or a bad contact in the sensor circuit. The value it measures is most likely fine.
You can drive. But until the circuit is repaired this system runs blind and cannot warn you about a real failure.
Scanner threw several codes at once? Paste the whole list — we will show which one is the root cause and which ones simply followed.
