J1939 code SPN 1761. Below — how the fault is worded at the factory by Dongfeng and SITRAK, and what the second half of the code (FMI) means in the standard.
| FMI 1 | Urea (AdBlue) level critically low. Scan tool code: P3067. Effect: Torque is not limited. |
| FMI 3 | Short circuit to power or open circuit of the urea (AdBlue) level sensor. Scan tool code: P203D. Effect: Torque will be limited after 50 hours of operation. |
| FMI 4 | Short circuit to ground of the urea (AdBlue) level sensor. Scan tool code: P203C. Effect: Torque will be limited after 50 hours of operation. |
| FMI 18 | Low urea (AdBlue) level. Scan tool code: P203F. Effect: OBD limits torque immediately. |
| FMI 0 | Faulty DEF tank level sensor: reading too high. Scan tool code: P3066. Effect: Torque is not limited. |
| FMI 1 | Faulty DEF tank level sensor: reading too low. Scan tool code: P3067. Effect: Torque is not limited. |
| FMI 2 | DEF tank level too low. Scan tool code: P203F. Effect: OBD limits torque immediately. |
| FMI 3 | DEF tank level sensor voltage above the upper limit. Scan tool code: P203D. Effect: Torque will be limited after 50 hours of operation. |
| FMI 4 | DEF tank level sensor voltage below the lower limit. Scan tool code: P203C. Effect: Torque will be limited after 50 hours of operation. |
| FMI 6 | DEF level sensor short to battery or open load. Scan tool code: P203A. Effect: Torque limited, MIL on, power may drop to 60%. |
| FMI 7 | DEF level sensor short to ground. Scan tool code: P203A. Effect: Torque limited, MIL on, power may drop to 60%. |
| FMI 11 | DEF remaining below the mileage warning threshold, information stage. Scan tool code: P3062. Effect: Torque limited, MIL on, power may drop to 60%. |
| FMI 12 | Timeout of the AT1T1I CAN frame. Effect: Torque may be limited. |
| FMI 14 | DEF level at threshold 1: driver inducement is activated. Scan tool code: P203F. Effect: OBD limits torque immediately. |
| FMI 15 | DEF tank sensor indicates too high a fill level. Scan tool code: P20F5. Effect: Torque limited, MIL on, power may drop to 60%. |
| FMI 16 | DEF tank level warning. Scan tool code: P203F. Effect: OBD limits torque immediately. |
| FMI 17 | Low DEF tank capacity, warning escalation. Scan tool code: P203F. Effect: OBD limits torque immediately. |
| FMI 18 | Low DEF level, threshold 3: driver inducement may be activated. Scan tool code: P203F. Effect: OBD limits torque immediately. |
| FMI 19 | Incorrect data length of the AT1T1I CAN frame. Effect: Torque may be limited. |

Safe to drive. Below — how much time you have and what happens if you keep going.
Urea dosing is interrupted and the ECU is counting. First the lamp, then a torque cut, then a forced crawl speed — the stages come in by engine hours, not all at once.
The truck will not die mid-highway, but the window shrinks with every running hour. Plan the repair now, not when the power is gone: an emulator or "deleting AdBlue" does not remove the problem, the codes keep stacking.
That said, the manufacturer flags this code as critical — if in doubt, it is safer to stop and check on the spot.
Fill the AdBlue tank. If it’s already full, the problem is dosing or reductant quality — you need a scanner.
If the value really did go out of range, rather than a sensor circuit being broken, these normally light up after it:
They are not fixed separately — they go out together with this one. The list is deliberately short: only the links the reference is sure about.
Scanner threw several codes at once? Paste the whole list — we will show which one is the root cause and which ones simply followed.
